MirageCat has a long history of great work with color, but Free Me Black Heart really stands out as something special.

Here, we see a fine example of the effective power of complementary hues, but M-Cat has used muted, Autumnal tones that are rich and full-bodied (like a...fine wine?) rather than overwhelming. Outlines alternate at will between sharp black and striking pale yellow, creating an interesting graphic quality, and an appealing pseudo retro-tribal vibe to the intricate details of this scene of mythic characters and epic goings-on. The results are crisp and quirky, and most inviting to the viewer to stay a while. Go ahead, take your shoes off while you look.
