The other side

Bothan slowly awakes, without knowing if she managed to die, or if she survived. She can't tell if it was months ago, or just a single hour after her desesperate try pictured in Returning to him. Is she dead? Is she alived?
The house seems intact, so that can only be her memories, the last reminds of her dying body before the eternal sleep, the last sorrow of a vixen for a far past.
But everything seems so real... Ant that parfume...
Fox. He's here. She knows that. She can hear her footsteps near to the room. He's coming.
Does her memory play another painful trick to her? Does her sorrows torture her again? She was deceived so many times those last months, and she so fears that's just another disappointement...
The heart beating so hard in her chest, she's waiting.
Please. Please, make my wish true, even if that's just my last dream...

The very first moment of Cursed III, The other side pictures the awakenning of our heroine Bothan. At that point, it's impossible to know if she's alive or close to be dead, like the very last thought she could have before to cross the Styx.

It's something I'm quite pleased with. A blue kraft paper, with white pencil.
It has that feeling I desesperately tried to give months ago, the second of doubt, that second when you hope so much that you're fearing the worst issue. A single second later, you would certainly see an uncontrolled tear with the same face...

Kitsune Bothan (c) Amiral Aesir
