FINALLY! This was the picture I was working on in between the sprites for Bahamut. Another addition to my little song theme on DA. This took FOREVER.

Started: April 22nd
Finished: May 16th

As you can see, HUGE time gap between start to finish.

Firstly, the change of outfit, wtf IS Lucian wearing?
I roleplay VERY frequently with Zia and we have an alternate Lunar Knights world where Lucian replaces Dumas' role as the duke of the vampires. This was the originally designed outfit I finally stopped with.

The original sketch didn't have all the chains drawn in, only guide lines around him for where the chains would be. Lineart and chains all done in Photoshop with the tablet, while coloring went back to all mouse. I'm pretty with how this came out.

Zia really helped me out at the end by giving me a background suggestion, which worked really well with this when I added the lighting effects at the end. If not for her, I'd probably still be staring at this and going "Uhhh... background...background... I NEED A BACKGROUND"

The song this went to was a toss-up between Blind in Darkness and Soul to Bleed. Beast of Blood used to be in there, but I booted that one out.

I was working with this at the resolution of 1899x1632 (MUCH computer lagging there), so one detail was kinda left behind when it was resized, sadly. I used the Noise filter to give the chains a grainy effect, and with the original size, it looked like bloody, rusted chains. Only a few chains still slightly have that effect. Ah well.

Longest thing to do, THE CHAINS. Those were such a PAIN. But they turned out well enough in the end.

The blood on the wall was really easy to do, easier than I was expecting. I ended up using Aurora brushes from Obsidian Dawn to do the blood, which worked out even better than I expected.

Overall, I'm satisfied. And happy it's finally done.
