Well, here's the cosplay I wore to Wai-Con '07. Pretty much everything was made myself. Took me most of the year too, but I worked on it in between school work and exams... and when I had the materials (ie. belts...) Technically, it's not even finished because I didn't get all the belts I wanted.

The hair accessory/stick things were made out of satay sticks. Originally, I was planning on carving them out of old chopsticks, but all we had were new ones. Then I wanted to use wire but had no idea where to find some (my Dad had some but I had no idea until the night before Wai-Con, when I wanted wire for the Moogle). So I ended up using satay sticks. Working in a restaurant pays off in the strangest ways. lol.
I'm quite proud of the Moogle. It's quite sad that it's not made out of soft toy fur. It's made out of felt and does have both wings. You just can't see them. It has a pink pompom 'cause I couldn't find a red one... Well, actually, I did, but the red pompom was in a huge craft pack with about 49 other pompoms, chenille (y'know, the wire with fluff on it. I forgot what the primary school word for it was... ) and googly eyes. So then, at last minute, I ended up getting a craft pack with 14 other pompoms, chenille and googly eyes. BTW, those numbers are rough estimates... I didn't really count out all the pompoms...
Oh, and I know next to nothing about Final Fantasy. My friend chose the anime/manga/game this year but she didn't end up coming. How sad.

For someone who doesn't know a thing about Final Fantasy, this is excellent. You are missing a few belts but hey, it doesn't have to be perfect. Cosplaying is hard work and that moogle is really cute.
