A drawing that's been over a year in the making. :). I started the lineart off as just a doodle of an RP character named Azrael(NOT the same one as the guy who I made a doll of once upon a time- I'll explain below). However, I liked enough, so I kept it. :). From then, I've been improving the lineart- I think I've fixed his pose at least 4 times before I became satisfied. This is the result of four revisions.
One day, I realized that I had absolutely nothing to CG, and only comic pages to tone, and, not feeling like toning at the moment, I decided to CG. But what? I then went through my documents, and saw one that I couldn't remember what it was. I clicked on it, and rediscovered this. I fixed the lineart, then began CGing it several weeks ago. I am VERY pleased with the result- even though a lot of things are hard to see, it came out exactly as I envisioned it to. Though I'm not overly fond of the pillars- but it's the best I could do.
I just hope that the purple holds up against the black better on different monitors.
Anyway.. character explanation.
As I said, this is NOT the same Azrael, but instead a character based on the Angel of death himself. You see, in an RP I'm in, there's a HIGH number of demon characters. One day, I got sick of them(and another member had just introduced the possibility of high angels), so I decided to create my own version of the angel of death. In this particular RP, Azrael was sent on a mission from the big guy upstairs to stop the demon problem of that particular school- he found it was becoming nothing more than a battleground, and wanted order restored. Azrael went, disguised himself as a human with 'fake' wings, and is now seeking out the demons that inhabit the school.
