Sweet Sacrifice (color test)

So uh, yeah. Since I'm close to getting all the roughs done on Redeemer (meaning, lawl, inking next), what I've always wanted to iron out is giving something special about the coloring in it. Not that this isn't colored like anyone else has colored it before, but at the very least make it stand out from my normal work. So I've been dicking around, and I quickly spat out this picture and then painted it with desaturated colors. Then I jizzed blood all over it. :(

This was also done because despite the fact that Searil is the main character in that story I'm working on, there are relatively few recent drawings of her. :\ I've been having too much fun drawing that knock-off Amelia.

Mmm anime principle: the human body contains 47 gallons of blood.

I've also been looking at medical photos of wounds and the like. I've actually been taking it pretty well considering that after hearing about "foot binding" I almost fainted, but the one thing that sickens the crap out of me is something they refer to as "degloving." I'll give you a couple chances to guess what that involves. Plus I've been reading a shitload of Battle Royale manga. I forgot how much I love it.

Edit: Oh shi! Forgot. The blood was created half by me, and half by the usage of these lovely brushes. :)
