New cover!

A few people have asked me to do this one, so here ya go. "Wonderful World", done by Louis Armstrong (And I think a couple of other people). For this one, I made it a bit more classical, a string section introduction, then have the piano lead it. And of course... the "Oh Yeah" section at the end. Put a couple of more "Jazzy" chords in there to give it a touch flavoring as well. Mmmh... Jazz

Hope ya enjoy, it was a fun song to play. YAY FOR RASPY VOICE SINGING (which I can't do ._.) AND STRINGS!

[Original © to Louis Armstrong and ABC. This performance by Fox Amoore]
[Piano performed on a Roland Fantom X8. Orchestra composed and performed by Fox Amoore and the Platinum Symphonic Orchestra! (Oh and the tenor and boy choirs helped... a little) ]

So beautiful!

Media wolf Says:

Mmmm... Awesome. I always loved this song. Too bad, that the raspy voice is missing. Then it'd be perfect.

I would have preferred a little less strings throughout the majority of it. I feel that having the strings come in at certain points would have still allowed it to retain that concert feel but stay true to the dark lounge full of smoke and just a man and a piano up on stage, which is what I think Louis was going for with this last song in his career. I feel that the abundance of strings, and especially the chorus, makes the song seem bigger than it actually is. Mind you Louis added the orchestra later on for the song when he released it on LP but I'd like to think he liked the original single piano for live performances a little more.

Basically I felt the chorus and abundance of strings overshadowed the single piano, harp, and chimes, and didn't let the song carry itself for the majority of the piece. Maybe if the strings and chorus had came in at the end for that grand finale sort of feel it would have been better. I think if you had stuck with the piano, harp, and chimes then it would have retained this more personal, just you and the three musicians, sort of feeling to it and then it could blossom into the large orchestral feeling, with the chorus and strings, at the end. All in all I liked the piano, harp, and chimes harmony and didn't care for the larger than life orchestra and chorus.

My dad loves this song to death. I'm sure he'd love this version as well! It kinda reminds me of the Charlie Brown Christmas style (with the bits of jazz and piano).
