I did an ACEO trade with Bloodhound Omega a year ago...and the card got lost in the mail. So, she let me take a whole year to make it up...so I did a full painting. I hope you like it! I don't know much about the story behind her bloodhounds...but I think that the setting may be appropriate.

I've been DIEING to do a starry sky! And after several months of trying to find a new fur method...I've found it. Tada.

An early progress shot can be seen on my livejournal.

Great work on the detail.

Stunning work! The detail and realism is breath taking.

rostiejay Says:

I like the background alot, the details are very nice there.
The Wolf's head looks right, but the wolf's limbs look completely flat.
The fur seems good for the most part, but on the arms it has a wood-like texture.
Work on the spacing and the arms and you should be alright.

Tree Says:

Beautiful work! I love the detail on the fur and the BG

Nutamu Says:

oh wow that's beautiful! So many beautiful things to see in this image, my eyes don't know what to rest on first. I love how you did the fur and I just wanna play with those back toes they're so cute! Very nice space scene and the desert background is fantastic. I'm gonna keep a copy of this on my computer so I can be reminded just how fur is supposed to look (if you don't mind that is). The side of the back legs as well as the tail and neck is where I can really see must have taken a lot of work to get right and you follow the path of where fur should lie so well!

Excellent work!
