It was a rather dreary evening outside in the city of London, drizzling down with rain, and she was walking alone down a street in town wishing she'd had an umbrella with her. She walked, she felt like somebody was watching her and she peered down an alley to see a man standing there, but she couldn't see his face. She just turned her head away fast to make sure he didn't see her looking at him and continued on her way. It continued this way for several days, she walking in the rain and seeing him watching her As this went on, she became rather curious and started watching him as well. She found him to be dark, handsome mysterious of what she could see of him anyway. She only caught small glimpses of his face, but never could fully catch him in the whole. She could see his eyes though. Those dark, intense eyes, it was as if they were looking straight through into the very depths of her heart which in turn would make it race.

One night the lady had been walking and before she knew it, it was night time. She was in a park standing under the trees by myself trying to find shelter from the rain. She had been down the alley to search for the man, but did not see him tonight which greatly discouraged her. Maybe he'd grown tired of her or she wasn't as pretty as she had hoped to be in his eyes. She was lost in her own thoughts, not really acknowledging anything around her when a man's voice cut through the darkness.

"Isn't it dangerous for a woman of your stature to be alone in the park at night?"

Startled, she jumped and turned towards where the voice was coming from, and she saw him standing against a tree, staring at her with those eyes of his. Her breath intake came sharp as she took in the man's appearance. He had on a black suit-like outfit without a tie, but no coat or anything. She was wearing her peach-lace dress. One of her best dresses and despite the fact that it was raining now, she looked beautiful. Her auburn hair was done in curls and water was steadily dripping down each weighed-down tendril. She was also wearing a white scarf. He smiled at her when he discovered he scared her and apologized.

"If that's the case, I'll take you somewhere safe," the dark, mysterious man proposed.

He held out a hand and for some odd reason she felt that she could trust him. None too reluctantly, she took his hand, but it was rather cold against her own warm hands, so she removed the white scarf she was wearing a placed it around his neck. She smiled at him.

"You look as chilled as your hands feel."

He looked surprised at first, but then relaxed, gave a small smile and thanked her. They walked arm in arm across the park until she was at a place she didn't recognize. He walked her to a small place that was outdoors, but it was warm and the rain was now slowing. A fire was crackling in the center and there were horses tied up, nickering and making little horse noises. They stood in front of the fire for a moment to warm up, before she found herself in his arms, gazing into those dark, mysterious eyes of this handsome stranger. Though he didn't feel like a stranger. "This is the first time you've fully shown yourself to me. Normally you hide in the shadows as I'd watch you."

"I like to be alone. I don't normally converse with many, but you're that small exception," he told her with a shy grin.

Before she knew it, his pouting lips were touching hers...

I FINALLY finished coloring this! I had forgotten about it awhile back, but I just finished it today. This drawing is based off of a dream I had awhile back that took place around the late 1700s early 1800s from what I could tell. Anyway, I don't know who these people are, but they are what they looked like in the dream I had. Anyway, enjoy! Also if you feel you must critique, be gentle on me. I've been sick for the past week so the coloring might not be as great as my other works...

Wonderful work there. A nice contrast in colours of the dreary london scene with the radiance of the couple as it were. Nice details on the clothing and overall shading. The story just adds to the scene and really brings them out.

I-- It's amazing!

Forgive me if the constructive criticism is getting on your nerves, but you should probably work a little harder on porportions. The coloring is AMAZING, but the faces just seem so... stretched.
