I call it the korobil (koh-ROH-beel), which is old garran for "eyed beast", plural form korobilex.
They are not quite apex predators, but are pretty up there in the food chain. Their main prey are the garran deer (which have no name currently) and maybe smaller animals.
They're found all over, wherever there's plains/savannah. They are differently colored to fit in with their environments. I'll be putting up a color chart sometime (read: never).
Um, Tgr'ek has a few as pets... and as quarry. They're also a staple of zoos.
They're good runners, with those long legs and springy spine. My original concept for them was a type of hyena/crocotta/cheetah beast, but now they're a little wolf-y.
Simply read the captions for extra-shiny details. OH WAIT, also, their extra eyes DO NOT close, because I figure they would have adapted to the extra sensory info when they got the eyes in the first place.

I love how completely ugly it is. I mean, I just can see it coming towards me and instead of petting I want to run away screaming like a little boy!
The fur the skin the eyes. I love them all. Especially the big fat tongue!
