SasuSaku-Legacy

[Legacy-PRELUDE]

Sakura sighed; walking down the pathway in Konoha, her candy-colored hair continuously filtered over her eyes, though downcasted onto the ground under her feet. A shaky hand rested over her stomach, as instantly as she reached her home, her body began shaking. Her emerald eyes lifted from the grass-patched dirt pathway under her feet to meet a tall, slender-built, raven-haired boy. She swallowed hard.
Damn, it’s him… she thought weakly at first. One month ago, her and the boy—Sasuke—had a bet on each other that they both had to last one month without sex. (Though, the day before that they engaged in it, so that only left to question the girl’s current mood.) The boy grinned.
“Yo, Sakura.” He gave a small wave of his hand as she approached the front door of her house he had been waiting by; her body flinched as he reached his arms out and wrapped them around her body in a welcoming embrace. “You lasted. How awesome. Now we can have fun.” He grinned.
“Um… can I at least get in the house first?” She smiled nervously, fluidly evacuating herself from her boyfriend’s arms.

She opened the door, leaving way for him as she was greeted by her mother. Sakura made a mental note to run up to her room and lock the door after what she discovered this afternoon at the doctor’s clinic. But before she could escape to the first step of the stairs, the boy’s arms found their way in-stealth around her waist and felt her back press against his chest. “Come on, Sakura. Let’s go have fun.” He said hotly, the emphasis on his last word made her cheeks redden in embarrassment.
“My mother’s home…”
“So?”
“We really shou—” Sakura began before her sentence was disrupted by her mother announcing the evening meal was ready.
“Come Sakura, dinner’s ready.” Her eyes caught onto Sasuke as she dried her hands on her pale-yellow apron. “Is Sasuke staying too?”
Sakura looked back to see a smirk on his face. “I’d love to, Mrs. Haruno. You’re looking very lovely today, too.” He smiled.
‘Kiss ass…’ Sakura thought as the three went to the kitchen table and sat down.

During dinner, Sakura hardly touched her food at all, instead just turned rice over with one of her chopsticks. Her mother noticed her daughter’s irregular behavior and decided to make conversation to break the protective ice-cap of her sixteen year-old’s hidden emotional dilemma.
“So, Sakura, how was your doctor’s visit?” She asked, causing Sakura to jump in her seat.
“Oh, it was okay.”
“Did he say anything about your headaches and pains?” She continued to ask. Sakura mentally refused to answer following questions and pushed her chair out of way of the table and stood up.
“Can I just go to my room? I don’t feel well…”
“Sure, but what did he say?” She pressed.
“You can say it Sakura.” Sasuke commented, looking over to her.
No! I can’t!! She screamed in her head before her eyes downcasted. God! I’m about to do the stupidest thing ever!
“Sakura?”
”H-He said I’m pregnant!” She said, emitting complete silence. The next thing breaking it was Sasuke, yelling…
“GOD DAMMIT! FUCK!”
Sakura’s body trembled and in some disappointment of herself and fear, she turned heel and ran into her room, slamming her door shut.

Sasuke growled, gripping at his spiked raven hair as he cursed himself and lack of protection. The girl’s mother stayed silent until she approved the boy of calming and crossed her arms over her ribs, looking across the table as Sasuke jerked up out of the chair.
“I assume this is yours?” She asked.
“…Yes. But I’ll take care of it if I’m needed.” Her mother’s eyes narrowed. She saw through him.
“You will if you’re needed? Stop me if I’m wrong, but you don’t want any part of this, do you?” The boy growled under his breath.
“…No.”
”Than you should have thought about this happening before you knocked up my daughter…” She remarked as the boy quickly ran out of the house to his friend’s: Naruto.
In the house, he jumped on the blonde’s bed, smacking him with a pillow, yelling,
“WAKE UP DOBE!! WAKE UP!”
“What?! Geez!! What’s your beef!?” The blonde protested to being woken abruptly.
“...Sakura’s pregnant.”
“Oh shit… WHAT THE HELL MAN!?” Naruto squeaked, his night cap fell of his head.
“I DON’T KNOW!!!”
”THAT’S INSANE! I MEAN HER VAGINA’S ALL SANDY AND THERE’S NO WAY-TTEBAYO!!” The blonde responded quickly, based off a joke the men of the Rookie nine made towards Sakura. Sasuke’s brow twitched feverishly.
”…Are you on crack?”
“No…” Naruto’s eyes darted left and right.

The blonde picked up his cell phone, calling Sakura’s and awaited an answer as both boys sat. Her phone was answered,
“Not now Naruto.” Sakura sighed.
Naruto shouted to her what he did to his friend, hearing Sakura snap her phone shut. He cursed to himself before Sasuke snatched the phone from the fevered blonde’s hand and recalled the girl’s phone. He growled when he received a not the phone was off and decided to just voice-mail it.

It’s over Sakura!

“Get your damn gear, dobe!” Sasuke huffed.
“What? Why!?” He argued, curling up in a ball on his bed as he snuggled his pillow. Sasuke threw the kunai pack at the blonde’s head, knocking him off the bed.
“Because we’re leaving!”

Later that night, the two boys ran away from Konoha; Sasuke from his responsibility… and Naruto the hostage in the situation not even in his assorted business…

Five years pass….

“Mom!! Mom! Have you seen him!? I lost him again!”
“Sakura, keep an eye on him already!” Her mother scolded. A frown etched on the now twenty year-old girl’s face as she heard a rattling sound over her head in the air duct.
“One… Two…” As she counted her words became sterner. “Three…” Suddenly there was a clatter and a small boy fell from the duct into Sakura’s arms.
“Aww! Mommy, I don’t want to go!” He pouted, puffing his cheeks.
“Well, rewrite the child medical book and then we’ll talk… Bye mom.” Sakura departed, holding the five year old’s hand as she walked down the streets of Konoha to take the child for a doctor’s appointment.

Down the path a familiar, taller blonde sung aloud his own theme music prancing in a giddy, well-prospered trot down the way. From the corner of his eyes and almost immediately, he stopped in his tracks. “Oh snap! ….Sakura…!” He squeaked. ‘Oh god I don’t wanna get beat up! She always hits me! But she’s coming this way and I can’t GET away!!!’ he thought to himself as Sakura approached his direction.

The boy tugged his mother’s arm as he looked ahead,
“Hey, mommy. Isn’t that blonde guy one of your friends?” He asked, allowing his mother’s attention to direct to the deer-caught-in-the-headlights expression screaming from Naruto’s face.
“Oh, hey Naruto.” Sakura greeted with a rediscovered kindness.
“H-Hey Sakura-chan…” He replied nervously.
“How have you been lately?”
“Good. I’m Sasuke’s gay lover!” He chirped, joking of course, but none the less proudly. Sakura’s slender brow dipped in an almost disturbing way.
“…Interesting…” Naruto’s eyes caught on the boy about ye-high above his knee and looked down at him.
“Ew, it’s fugly.”
“Well you look stupid!” The boy shot back, kicking Naruto’s shin. The blonde yelped and went to strike the boy, but his mother picked him up and scolded him. “Sousuke! Stop it!”
“Ha! You’re such a stupid baby!”
“Don’t call him stupid. Even without a father, he’s behaving better than you ever did…” Sakura frowned.
“Whatever, you little rat!” Naruto stuck his tongue out at the boy before leaving in a flash. Sakura sighed, setting her son back down and continued on their way.

Naruto ran through the forest near the lake in Konoha, singing his theme song yet again, though silenced and digressed to call out, “SASUKESASUKESASUKE!”
“I’m right here you idiot. What do you want?” Sasuke snapped in vulgar as his friend approached him.
“Nothing. Oh! But your kid’s a jackass!!” Naruto pouted frowning. “When are you gonna see ‘em anyway?”
“Never. They’re not in my life and they don’t matter.” He spat as he walked from the forest’s depth to the lake. Naruto trotted behind him.

“Does your arm hurt?” Sakura directed her son as she looked down at him.
“I’m okay mommy..” He said, looking up at her with bright emerald eyes as his raven hair filtered across his forehead. “Mommy…”
“You’re not asking about –him- again, are you?” She sighed. Sakura said her son had a father, but she told him he left them and wasn’t ever coming back. That came from more of an angry grudge Sakura had on his father for leaving.
Sousuke, her son, turned his head down and repressed asking about it anymore. She walked her boy home and tucked him into bed before she grabbed her jacket and walked out of her home. She trudged to the lake and sat on its edge, looking down at her reflection in the water.

On the lake, further out, stood on the water’s surface, Naruto, looking down at the fish swimming around. He grinned in his superiority of being able to ‘walk over them’. Sasuke, also on the water, cared less to comment on his friend’s ideal form of entertainment and kept to himself. Naruto skipped down the water’s surface until he noticed his old team mate. “Sakura-chan~” He smiled as he approached her and sat down in front of her.
“Oh, hi Naruto.” She greeted with a smile in return, which soon turned into a frown as Sasuke walked behind Naruto and sat behind him, leaning against his friend’s back. She’d ignore him as best she could.
“How have you been anyway, Sakura-chan? It’s been a hell of a long time.”
“I’ve been okay. Just going through medical training and some missions here and there…” She answered. The two talked onward and after a short while, the raven-haired fell asleep on his friend’s back. Naruto noted it and moved his friend to lie down, tracing his finger over his sleeping friend’s cheek.
“How long has it been?”
”Hm?” Sakura blinked at her friend’s question.
“Since you had sex?”
“Five years…” Naruto’s mouth became agape.
“What?! How come you haven’t gotten back on it, or dated or anything!?”
”Because I don’t want to…” She sighed, resting her head on her knees.
“You still love him huh?” Naruto replied, his usually goofy face faded to a more dower and serious one. One which nobody ever saw.
“…Yes. I still love the idiot…” Sakura sighed almost as if it was a crime she was committing.
“Well, why don’t you tell him?” Naruto asked, smiling at the pink-haired.
“…Naruto, he bailed on me when I was pregnant for his son. What makes you think he’d want me back?”
“I dunno. But you want him back, which you can’t deny since you already said it. Why don’t you try talking to him first?” He suggested, leaving Sakura a poised emotional fit on her face between wanting to and not. Naruto decided for her. “Just wake him up. Talk to him. But don’t get him angry.”
“But Naruto!” Sakura was cut off as he moved Sasuke off his lap and stood up.
“Just be nice. I’ll be nearby incase he gets to be too much.” Naruto departed, leaving Sakura alone with him.

She jittered silently to herself as she looked over him sleeping. Finally gaining an ounce of retentive courage, she nudged his firm shoulder. Almost immediately he responded, giving a moan as he awoke, sitting up. Sakura took a deep breath before she spoke out,
“Hey Sasuke.” The raven-haired looked back as he was directed and gave an honest sneer.
“Hey. What is it?”
“Nothing. H-How have you been?”
“Fine.” He answered quick and stern. “And yourself?”
“Okay. Just taking care of my son.” She answered, glancing up at his unfading eyes.
“Hn. You should take care of him better, if he’s as foul as I’ve heard.” Sakura’s eyes narrowed.
“Like you hear anything. You’re too stuffed up your own ass.” She barked, receiving an impenetrable glare from Sasuke.
“Why don’t you go back to the poles, you bitch.” He growled.
“You have some room to talk, calling me a slut! You chased so much ass I have no idea why AIDs hasn’t found you yet!”
“GO SUCK DICK!!” Sasuke snarled, his eyes slitting to an irreplaceable glare.
”AFTER YOU SWALLOW AND DIE!” She screamed, jumping up and turned to leave. Before she took a single step forward, a foreboding sense from behind grasped her arm, twisting it uncomfortably behind her back as an arm was curled around her neck. She cringed as the arm pressed against her throat. Quickly, she grasped the firm, well-muscled arm, pulling it le-way from her throat enough to speak. “You bastard…”

Elongated nails dug into the flesh of her forearm in her captive hold and Sakura cried out in pain. A normalcy-deprived, seal endorsed Sasuke could only cue sickly dark smile on his lips as he held the girl, pressing his lips to her ear. “You’re so weak. Bitch.” His mood only brightened more as she struggled. A strong filter of electricity was shot through Sakura’s small body, causing her to scream in pain.

“Mommy!!!”

The calling of this came to Sasuke’s ear and caused his now red-orbed eyes to meet Sakura’s young running on the pathway above the lake. Sakura just as quickly saw her son and recollected breath in her dry throat to holler to him,
“Sousuke!! Run! Go home!!”

“Mommy!!” The boy called again.

The sight of the boy only left an amusing, disastrously evil grin on his lips as his coarse eyes glared at the small boy bred between him and his captive. “What an ugly little brat. It’s disgraceful for it to even draw breath.”
Sakura gasped, her emerald eyes widening as she snapped her head back. “Don’t you dare…! Sasuke!”

A panicked swelling of shock lingered in the back of her throat as she spoke out, but the ravenous man only laughed at her attempts to coo him to stop. He pulled her arm behind her back more until a loud ‘pop’ sound soothed through Sasuke’s ears.
“AH!!” Another shriek of pain from Sakura as her arm was popped out of place.

“MOMMY!!” Again the boy called in a high-pitched scream. Oh, how this only made Sasuke’s blood boil more in his present state to rip the small body of his to shreds. Sakura felt tension in his grip loosen. He was going to attack her son!
“Sasuke don’t!!” Sakura yelled only to be tossed aside into the cold water of the lake as Sasuke went after the boy.

Frightened, Sousuke ran the way he came from; obstacles of attaining his mother were over shrouded by an animalistic instinct in all humans or other to stay alive. Even if it meant running when you clearly had something else in mind beforehand. But with a man who was able to take down the strongest person Sousuke knew at his tender age, he wasn’t going to get far at all. The small child skidded to a stop as the raven-haired male leapt in front of him, glaring to the boy with bright eyes. The boy’s body shook feverishly in fear and he—in an attempt to run away—fell on his backside, making Sasuke only laugh at the boy before grasping the small neck and jerked him up off the ground.

“Such a pathetic, ugly little thing.” He sneered as the boy’s small hands gripped and pulled at the large, muscular arm to pry or give le-way. But size gave into matter and no space or retraction of hold was resulted. The boy’s body squirmed relentlessly, and Sasuke only held the boy’s throat harder.

Sousuke only enveloped more fear he would die as his breaths became shorter and with held the longer the man’s hand restricted him. Tears started creeping down the boy’s cheeks and his fidgeting body started to curl.

“The baby’s crying now? Ha, nothing better than killing off another cry baby.” The demon smirked before a spark of fissuring charka behind him caused him to release the boy and leapt yards away. Naruto—after waking up from a self indulged nap—leapt towards them, the Kyuubi’s charka release and allowed him potential power against his friend since the time was calling for it.
“You okay kid?” The blonde glanced over with red eyes at the boy on the ground; his small hand rubbed his neck. Naruto noted the boy was now scared of him but reassured the boy that going with him would be better off than being choked and torn apart by Sasuke. The boy didn’t reject it and got up, hiding behind the younger of the two shinobi as giant fireballs came their way. “Kid, get on my back.” Naruto instructed before the boy climbed on his back as the blonde leapt, avoiding a singe from Sasuke’s attacks. It was almost relentless.

“Jesus Christ! What’d you do to him, little jackass?!”
“I didn’t do anything! And don’t call me jackass! My name is Sousuke!”
“Sousuke? What the hell kinda name is that?”
“It’s mine, blonde idiot!”
“You know for that insult I should just hand you down to Sasuke!” The boy yelped and gripped tighter on the blonde’s jacket.
“Okay okay! I’m sorry!” But before he knew it, he was on the ground with Naruto just a few bounds away from Sasuke; who he was trembling at the sight of.

“Sasuke, please stop. I’ll give the kid back.” Naruto said as he grabbed the boy’s collar and pried him of his back, dropping him to the floor.
“Naruto!!” Sousuke shouted, looking back before he heard a sinister laugh from the opposite side.
“You have something to say to me. Than get your ass out from behind that shield Naruto put up.” He sneered, grinning and bearing fangs. The boy squeaked, standing up. His body shook and he clenched his fists.

I’m not scared of you… I’m not.
This mantra went on over and over in the boy’s head as he stepped out; proceeding closer to the man, whose repulsive appearance downed and degraded itself further until his appearance’s normalcy returned. The boy was now in arm’s reach and Sasuke kneeled down, exhausted from the seal’s intake on his anger over his body. His dark, tedious charcoal eyes met with the boy’s shining emerald ones as he spoke out.
“What is it?”
“..Don’t…” The boy paused, glancing at the ground. “Don’t hurt mommy anymore…”
Sasuke sighed, raising his hand to the boy’s head, patting. “Don’t worry. I won’t hurt her anymore… Because I’m not remaining here.” The boy blinked.
“You’re leaving?”
“Yes, we don’t belong here. And your mother doesn’t want me here.” The boy opened his mouth to protest but was disrupted as his mother awoke on the side of the lake. “Mommy!” Sousuke cried, running to his mother. Naruto stepped to his friend as he rose, looking down at his former team mate with her son.

“I’m sorry mommy…” He cried into his mother’s shoulder as she held him.
“It’s okay, Sousuke…” She reassured, picking her child up in her arm as she stood.

“Maybe we should stay.” Naruto stated as he watched them.
“Why the hell should we??” Sasuke argued back, looking to his friend.
“Aw come on! She’s taking care of your son by herself! Come on, Sasuke.”
He sighed. “Fine! Just find your old house before the ANBU come and find us!”

Naruto grinned widely and tugged his friend’s sleeve as they disappeared into the night…

Interesting...I'd perfer if it were more evenly spaced and throw in a little more description-- dialogue is hard on the eyes if there's no paragraphs to even them out.

Keep improving, Houri-nee.
