So I tells Polarbear just as he's logging off this afternoon that I'm gonna do a little bit of artsy stuff on my laptop while he's off doing whatever polarbears do. I went through my old sketches on DA to find one that I promised myself WOULD NOT BE A FURRY. Huzzah! An old and dropped concept sketch of an alien stalker-type biped for the PROJECT PROTO (well it was to be at the time) Role Playing world thing..

For some reason the guy who had the idea DROPPED it altogether.. Anyway, I kept the sketch for a rainy day because it looked very snazzy, so there it sat on my HD and DA for many many months, festering among the other ignored projects down in the depths of sketch limbo.

And then, it rained.

This is an adult Raeliean, donning the blades and plumage of their warrior class. I apologize if anything is wonky because er.. I got tired toward the end of it all.
I'll colour this indeed, but I need suggestions.

They live in a desert/rubble environment mostly due to war, with some oases for supplies and respite. They were once magnificent feathered rapor-esque creatures before they gave up beauty for knowledge, power and strength. Forced breeding among the ranks have all but bred out what once was a majestic and peaceful race, the only remnants of their ancestors being small collections of plumage on the rump, elbows and a little trailing along the spine.
