Jeshi Rants - Associations
Alright! I'm going to Rant about Associations, Mainly Negative Associations that people Create in each other without even knowing it, Why Nagging Doesn't Work, and why the common Public school System DOESN'T Work as well as it COULD.

First off, what an Association IS, An Association is when, in your Mind, you associate something with something.
If I say LEARNING! Whats the first thing that comes to your head? Whatever that is thats what you have associated it with.
So now the Difference between a Negative, and Positive Association.
A Negative Association would be, if say, When I say SHOWERING! if "Annoying" Comes to your head then you have a NEGATIVE Association with the Showering, however if say, "Delightful" came to mind, then you have a POSITIVE Association with Showering.
Now on to why Nagging doesn't Work, see, Nagging is annoying, we all know that.
and if Somebody is nagging you constantly telling you to brush your teeth, it Associates "Brush your Teeth" with "Annoying" in your mind.
So it makes the One being nagged not Want to Brush their Teeth, even though have absolutely nothing against it.
Of course this Doesn't mean if constantly tell somebody to Smoke everyday its annoying they won't Smoke, if anything they'll Smoke just to shut you up, but they wont ENJOY it.
Nagging Doesn't work, the best result you can get is "FINE! IF YOU SHUT UP! GAWD!"
And yes, "Reminding every hour" is Nagging.
This is also why the Public School system Doesn't Work! Students are FORCED to go into a Class room to LEARN things they Don't Even WANT to Learn, some of it they do need to know but a lot of it they won't need to learn unless they plan to pursue a Career in it.
I for one plan to Take a Career in Digital Arts, this eliminates Math, History, Science, and Geometry from List of things I'd need to learn to get that Career, now Math is needed for Taxs and Stuff, but we have Calculators for that.
The only thing I would need to learn are Biology and Art.
The Basics of things I need to learn for Match and Language are taught in Pre-school and Kindergarten and after that I can Learn what I need and want to learn myself Naturally from Everyday life, but somethings I still actually Want to learn.
Anyways, back to Public school.
The student Don't WANT to Learn all this stuff! most of the time Associates "Learning" with "Annoying, Boring, Bad, Stupid, I don't Need it" this creates the "THEY MAKE US LEARN!!!!" Attitude Almost Everybody Ages 6-17 have, OF Course you DO need to learn, learning is a good thing.
So how do you make a Positive Association?
When somebody chooses to do something by Choice and enjoys it, it creates a Positive Association.
Art for me is associated with "I'm not that good but I'll get better and its Fun =D!!" As Opposed to the Student who are forced to take visits the Museum who have "Boring, why am I looking at this, UGH" associated with it.
More Schools need to have the "Learn what you want" Model that Some Schools have, this Means they can choose to learn something, enjoy it, and associate "Enjoyable" with "Learning"
Looking at this, this is more an Essay then a Rant, but still, this is all, I'm ending it!
