I wasn't much of a pro artist when I was only 13, but I had experience with linearts, coloring, and digital skills. Anyways, here is a green-armored, undersuit-customized elite named Yeven 'Yunalee, and the background appears to be similar to the second level in Halo 1, so it looks like she's in Alpha Halo. Her age is 19, height is 7'8", and of course female. Enjoy the picture.

Self-constructive criticism and precise evaluations:

1) Colors -
The range of the colors seen seems to be a too chaotic and mismatched. I'll need to keep it warm to the colors in the foreground and cooler in the sky/background. The blue feets really muck it up, as does having a red sky. Bringing the sky foward too much means the first thing I "see" when I look at in the picture are her feet, because they stand out the most. Generally if I wanted to have the face/chest stand out the most I should make them warmer and then drop them against a deep blue sky. Its ok to have red clouds, but I should've not put them straight behind her head, otherwise, our eyes would almost "lose" the head in the clouds so to speak. On top of that, it's recommended to lose some of the heavy saturation as well as to bring it down to a distant blue-purple-grey mix of colours that dont jump out at our eyes. In short, the background can hurt your eyes reguarding by the size of the picture.

2) Composition -
Overall, the composition is doing pretty well. Leaving the space infront of your elite helps with the sense of movement, and allows us a good look at the setting and background. The only flaws with the composition are the fact that the ringworld edge in the background is running up into the corner almost, which is a bit problematic because it creates a big juxtaposition with the opposite side, and seriously imbalances the overall composition. If the curve was a straight line, or an exceptionally slight slope, then the entire thing would've really been straightened out for sure.

3) Texture -
Grass seems all good, so I did a pretty good job representing that. The stream however, could use a little more "stones" in it to bring out the fact its a stream, maybe some effective flowing water to go with it. The hills in the background are again problematic, but I can stick with the texture, despite the grass and earthlands not going quite well with the colors chosen.

4) Perspective -
Foreground perspective seems well done, but the hills in the background are, again, a problem. I'll have to study up even more on perspective in art and youll get a good understanding of what the problem is here. Mainly the fact that the hills need to get smaller at distance, and they dont seem to be doing it enough.

Of course if it is surrealism then the effect isnt carrying across the whole piece, the elite seems nicely drawn and painted but then the background is very surreal/unreal.

The artwork is 60% traditional, and 40% digital for the overall look of the picture.

Awesome.

I love this.
Have you ever saw a player named SUPER QUEER on Halo 2 or 3? I was the gay alien-dude-thing.
But, I'm really a girl. ;__;

That was me.

But, seriously, great artwork. Amazing.
