I got an A- on this assignment! :3 Glee! There was another picture that went with it, but I thought this was the better one of the two. Outlined in pencil first, I did them both fairly quickly - like 20 min each?? - hence why the beads are so messily thrown on there.

I hate drawing repetetive little things like that...beads, lace, ribbon...My hands get bored with it. However, I think the face came out pretty close to the original, which makes me happy to know I'm just that much closer to being a good commercial artist. :3
This is an illustration...which I guess here translates to line art. I hated it. I can't not add value. D: Value gives it life! So, you can see the little spots where I was like, "THIS IMAGE NEEDS SHAPE!" and shaded around the shoulders, legs, cleavage, shirt. But I guess my professor wants us to stick with keeping it simple...so...blah.
The reference photo was more than I ever thought I would find. Total awesomeness.
Kime's amazing stock photography did the trick. Check it.

You are truly amazing with charcoal drawings... is it difficult? or hard to fix a mistake?
ChimouStar Says:
Tis very pretty! I had to use nothing but charcoal in my intro to drawing class in college. It's so messy. xD
