I saw Beowulf in 3D/IMAX and felt the need to put this up. 3D CG = Head Explosion. I'll never look at Angelina Jolie the same way again though.
This is a little concept design for a character in my comic (my first design if you can't tell by the 'V.1'). The comic is based all around about water nymphs...err...mermaids...mostly :/ I don't really like using the word mermaid or mer-people though. It's such a weird word for this character especially. I'd much rather use serpent or nymph. But anyways, if I have to refer it to mermaid, this is what it would look like. An original succubus like demon thing. But she's pretty. :3 ...And anatomically correct.
PS: Those are just bubble circles, not some magic bullshit attack.

Hmmm pretty nice, good anatomy and design.
If there's one thing I'd say its that maybe you should think about the colour scheme a bit, it seems odd that a creature would evolve to both have yellow belly markings and vivid feathery bits. (whatever they're called)
A creature is always more convincing when it seems to have it's attributes for a reason, rather than just to make it look prettier in a picture. For example it could have evolved bright markings for mating reasons, but then wouldn't the colour scheme look more harmonious if the body was a bluer or blacker hue? Just bouncing ideas around at ya, it's still a pretty nice concept.
