12 - Agle

Beymond's mount Agle. (pronounced: A-gul like in haggle)

she is a 10 year old demon/show paw cross

her coloration, markings and details are from her demon mother and her beautifully lean build is thanks to her thoroughbred father.

she's not 'evil' but she is VERY touchy, she's a gem and she knows it. Beymond treats her like a queen therefore she's rather spoiled. her name is basically 'angel' with altered spelling and no 'N'

as pointed out in the picture her front paws are very fragile and her 'whiskers' are very sensitive, also her weakest point.


the smoky 'cape' like thing on her back is a toxic banner where all her toxins escape and remain clumped together behind her. it's not ALWAYS there as it would be impossible for Beymond to ride her that way no, the toxic cloud vents of the poison fumes and dissipates, once it's does it becomes harmless and is naturally filtered by plants and rain.

this cloud also draws the toxins away from her body and keeps them from being expelled by her breath like it would naturally.

the quills on her tail are much like reaper quils in that they have tiny latches (closely resembling porcupine quills) that push themselves deeper the longer they're attached.
however unlike reaper quills they contain no venom.

also the red patch is a self inflicted wound, she would chew at as a nervous habit before Beymond took her in. the first layer of her thick hide is what gives her that soft black coat. (all Thorons are very lightly furred most of them very subtle like peach skin)
however underneath that first layer is a second, rough scaly skin that's usually a very bright color. oncer the first layer is stripped away over and over the first layer stops healing and scars around the wound, leaving it bare and the next layer clearly visible.

I'm really proud of how this picture turned out, it's been a wile since I fully colored anything in photoshop. and even LONGER since I completed a dragon-like image.

I especially like how her back feets and saddle came out.

lol she kinda reminds me of an orca whale minus the green of course
