From my Digital Illustration class, this is the second of four images.
The assignment was to perform a random act of kindness, and then illustrate it in a sequential format, using some element of sculpture.
I was a little stuck on what to randomly do, but I've been writing to
BackwardsTwin2
while she's been offline-against-her-will, and it seemed like a subject I'd like to illustrate. So...Reb, these are for you.

This self-portrait as raccoon was drawn by hand in marker, cut out, and affixed with three dimensional paper and pencil, and pierced with my own earrings. The sky was photographed over my parents' house last Summer, and the mailbox was photographed on the street. Everything else was photographed from various and sundry items from my apartment. All individual photographs, and then cobbled together to make this.
This was so much a challenge, and I had to pull an all-nighter that lasted well into the next day, but I learned
so much, doing this, and...I'm feeling rather accomplished, right now.
...I've found that I really like working in this technique.
(This is twenty-seven layers, all done in Photoshop CS3.)
