On his own, Allen must reap the life from others to sustain himself...for he is always dying. What happens if you have extra life inside of you? What could you do with that? Could you use that as clay?
What is bonded to Allen is hard to explain. It's fear. Fear with a mind. Fear with thoughts. It is used as a tool for Allen. Not only can Allen turn to gas at whim, and fly where ever he wishes, but it can search the minds of his enemies and find their fears. Once he has that, Allen uses that excess life as clay. The Fear molds it. And Allen becomes what you fear the most.
