This is Mary Korvish, the daughter of the necromancer Morton Korvish, who I drew a while back. She's half demon, half human as her father fell in love with a mortal woman and Mary was the result. Because Morton was cursed by his race to always remain in his true form, Mary has demonic features as well.

She was taught by her father and mother who lived in a rather ramshackle old castle in the middle of nowhere to become a healer, and she travels the land, now as a grown woman, trying to help travellers and adventurers passing through the land. Her mother, being mortal, died some time ago, and Mary stayed with her father some time, as he missed his wife terribly. But eventually she ventured away from their home and became a wandering mage, adopting a baby dragon she found, having been attacked by hungry jackdaws, and nursed it back to health. The poor thing is very easily scared, and clings onto Mary's shoulder most of the time, only flying if he has to. His name is Avrin.
This is a picture of Mary coming back home to see her father, who lives in the castle in the background. She carries a staff very much like her parent's, and she can use it as a weapon too

And that's the story so far...
Yet another character from the fabled new project of mine, Almost Dead. Expect more when i have teh time to draw it hehe. But I do love this picture and it's taken me about a week to colour.

As ever, enjoy!
