I rise from the flames

Inspired by this piece here

Anyway I've wanted to draw a phoenix for ages but as always my work got distracted by something or other. However after seeing the piece above I got a revelation of trying a digital painting rather than a drawing.

I used only 2 brushies (chalk and soft round) and the smug tool and put alot of effort into trying to make this piece look good. It came out about how I imagine it, a firery pit with the shape of a bird rising from it.
