Chapter 2

Zeros endured painful training and had many injuries during the ten years he had been there and now he was ready to begin his real journey. “Are you ready for the final test” the guardians said
So our new found hero replied “yes I am ready” “the test is to get the lost sword from the fiery mountain in the dark realm” now the dark realm was where the most evilest people are sent and are eternally tortured until the ends of time. The lava in the volcano is red as blood, like a large red river it flowed into the lake of death. But first Zeros had to collect some rare items, the three pieces of the key.
Little did he know, the Wanderer was watching him. So he had to travel to the desert of lute Galen and into the great pyramids of Galen, oh it was a long trek across the burning sands. But as he got to his second destination he encountered a foul beast, but he remembered the book the guardians had given him. The foul beast was a large, fat rotting corpse holding a club in one hand and a headless body in the other. It dropped the corpse then swung for him and as the foul beast struck he was in incredible pain. But he knew that if there was no pain he would gain absolutely nothing. He had drawn blood once before on that dreadful day, so he was badly hurt and unconscious and alone. But, just then like blinding flash of red light, a chimera had bitten the beast right where it hurts, in the nuts; its master dragged him to the safety of her home in Lute Galen, about two hours later Zeros awoke and just sat there puzzled thinking “what the in the name of cheese-grater-to-the-nuts happened there” so he stood up and saw her, she looked like hell so she carried on binding her arms “hello sleepyhead, how are you” she asked him “I feel like I’ve just been hit by a herd of wendigo” Zeros had replied still holding his head. “Where are you from?” she had said
“I’m from garetaya, well what’s left of it”
“What do you mean?”
“I don’t want to talk about it”
What the stranger wanted to know was his past.
“Can I just ask, who the in the name of nails-down-a-blackboard are you?”
“I am Nephtys, and this is my pet chimera”
Oh she was beautiful, apart from the fact that she had a convenient scar on her forehead crudely shaped in a heart and owned a scythe. She wore a necklace of ankhs around her neck and was not used to having people around her. She was an Egyptian angel in disguise. There was just one little problem, Nephtys had seen many things, she knew where the first piece of the key was, but was still confused as to where the in the land of dead mans cove garetaya was. “And you are?” she asked him “my name is Zeros and I am searching for the pieces of the key to unlock the secret to the lost sword”. All he knew was fighting, one attack after another. It was that simple. “All will be revealed in due time, come with me to see the village elder, Cain” so Zeros had followed her to the village elder “hello? Anyone here” she said while entering the hut “yes, who is it” the old man said “it’s me Nephtys, and I have a friend with me, I’d like you to meet Zeros” she said so the old man asked the hero of this tale “ are you searching for the pieces of the key” so Zeros just nodded. So the old man spoke about the key and gave him the first piece, and said “take her with you” so off they went. There was just one problem; Zeros being so forgetful, had lost his own sword so they both went to see the blacksmith who gave him the rare grimsaw sword which enables the user to launch energy attacks. It was a long walk along the burning sands but Nephtys was completely unaware of the desert. Just then a horde of the undead rose up and caught the pair off guard so Zeros just flipped and said the word explosion while bringing his sword down on the zombie’s head and there was a loud squelch and blood & guts went every where, its head hit the one which was about to bite Nephtys, knocked its head flying and hit the other one “oh that’s gotta hurt” he said laughing.
