Been a long time since I made art. Although I don't think actual drawing has diminished, I might have had to relearn shading a bit. But I think I did good work.
Done with pencils, as usual, and taken with a camera as it's too big for the scanner. Sorry for the glare on the side.
Doing this, I've learned something. I hate full body shots, and love doing face shots. I do full body a good deal, but for these big pieces, I much prefer the face. To me, it's the most fun part of a human to draw. That and it always just ends up as a face shot on these big ones. My teacher likes it, though. She thought it was me trying to make a picture more epic or something.
So, for those either not in the know or can't tell, it's Alicia from Valkyrie Profile: Silmeria. For some reason, I really wanted to draw her. I think she's a great balance between the traditional females you see in RPGs and a traditional hero. And last I played, she's starting to develop into a stronger person, so she wins even more points. I mean, your first impression of her is a bit of a crybaby. Eventually, she stops crying, and accepts what comes.
Course, I'm also partial to cute heroines. Was never a fan of the traditional hot and bad ass ones. With those types, you can't seem to get the character development of one like Alicia, or another example, Farah from Tales of Eternia.
Yeah, I'm one of those that thinks Tales of Eternia could of easily had Farah as the main character instead of Reid. Hell, I think it might even be MORE interesting that way.
Yes, I know Valkarious isn't a word. It fit when I first thought of the image.

Alicia is indeed the first little, fatty, with round face and big less heroine... That is why we love her. xD
She isn't like all the others, that kill more with their breasts than with their weapons...
