For the vcl forums monthly art contest.

This month's theme is hybrid (in species or personality) super heroes.

And so I have created Ivan Fang, also know as Ge Gaia (earth spirit in latin... or was it greek?)

Super powers and story line are yet to be created.

please ignore the general image quality. This is kind of a quick preview (soon should be going to scraps)

AWSOME PIC fav nd +ratin

jmercedesd Says:

*over from the CritClub* I really like the angle of his head, chest and shoulders, they're all excellently drawn. Unfortunately, the drawing starts losing its awesomeness at about the hips. ^.^;;

For a male that cut, his hips seems a little soft, as do his thighs. Also, you've drawn the front leg facing at nearly a 90 degree angle from the back leg. Try turning your legs like that and see what happens. I make the same mistake, though I'm trying to break myself of it since I know it's wrong; it's an unnatural position for the legs to be in. While the angle of the back leg can work for this picture, the front leg ought to be turned so that we see more of the back of the calf instead of the sides. Am I being clear? ^.^;; Also, as a little side thing, you might want to make the tail a bit more relaxed. He seems stiff.

Otherwise, you seem to have an excellent grasp of the male anatomy and the hands, chest, abs, shoulders, and face are all amazingly good.

x3 Awww, he's cute!
I have to agree with jmercedesd, though. His hips, thighs, and just the general lower half seem... Kinda chunky. a little out of proportion.
There's lots of ways to fix that, though.
Otherwise, it's an awesome character sheet, and he's super cuddly.
