Silken words,Hollow phrase songlyrics
Silken words, hollow phrase.
Darkness fading slowly, opening my eyes,
searching for your warmth, finding only lies.
Drowsily stretching my arms, still not seeing you,
the truth is something I always thought I knew.
Walking towards the table, seeing the scribbled paper,
all the ideals I once had, turning into vapor.
Your words are like needles, pushing trough my veins,
embassy of another realm where lies and darkness reigns.
I love you, so easily said, but meaningless after the night.
knowing all the things you did, but still putting up a fight.
Scanning the paper, reading the words, predictable and hollow,
a tear escapes my eyes, I know what is about to follow.
Time and again I swore this would be the last time i would allow it to be ,
but then sweet little lies, lustfull little eyes, and suddenly you see.
Caught again, in the web of lust, no meaning of escape,
I muffle a scream and then on the table, lies the tape.
Your words are like needles, pushing trough my veins,
embassy of another realm where lies and darkness reigns.
I love you, so easily said, but meaningless after the night.
knowing all the things you did, but still putting up a fight.
*bridge*
Once there was a time when I still believed in your words,
once there was a time when the world was filled with birds,
the birds became, vultures, the words became lies,
and now trough your words, my heart slowly dies.
Your words are like needles, pushing trough my veins,
embassy of another realm where lies and darkness reigns.
I love you, so easily said, but meaningless after the night.
knowing all the things you did, but still putting up a fight.
Your words are like needles, pushing trough my veins,
embassy of another realm where lies and darkness reigns.
The energy is gone, the spirit has been broken,
you claimed my soul, just another token.
Still an inkling of hope remains despite this goodbye,
an inkling of hope, fading rapidly, I give up, and die.

I'm not a metallover but I think this one would fit in a gothic band indeed. Although the lines may be a bit to long? Dunno. Like it anyway
