Maxwell and BeeBee, Lark's parents. They are sort of inspired by Igby Goes Down, the Critic, and my personal experiences with old money.
They are human at their core, but a life of being horrible people has left them twisted. Maxwell is a paranoid old bastard who thinks that the government is after him, and tortures the servants frequently. BeeBee is never found without something in her system, and her compliments are always back-handed. Lark has hated them since he could feel the emotion, but he takes after them oh so much.
Then they died and left him a FAT INHERITANCE.
