Finally... took me two weeks and two tutorials to finish this one... lotta work to do. This is a Tau Fire Warrior Shas'ui from my "Rift Star" cadre. These guys are the baddest of the bad in the Tau, as they are stationed right next to the Perdus Rift, an area of space that spews forth untold horrors, and a large Tau force has been stationed there permanently.
With these guys, I did a more ceremonial/samurai approach first, with bright-ish red as the main color. I ended up deciding I wanted to use the "color palette" from 300 as my force turned into a more "Spartan" unit. Lots of rich reds, with gold highlights, and the splatter design is featured on my foot troops.
*EDIT*
I also went with a different style with this one, no "inking" on it, wanted to try to expand... since I need to get better at shading/definition with color.
