My friend gave me her art set yesterday. ^_____^
Among other things, it consisted of pastels.....^____^
This is my very first pastel attempt. Yeah pastels are kinda chalky and I have a hard time shading with them.
(So go easy on me ok?)
It isn't my best, but it is pretty good for my first pastel attempt, and doing this in 15 minutes on my friend's bed while she wrestled with my other friend.
All in all, I am still pretty content with this.

At least you don't cheat when it comes to shading. I do. I just select the transparency of the layer, move it down a few pixels, and brighten what I have. Sometimes, if I'm not lazy, I'll feather the selection so it's smoother. xD
You didn't think there WAS a way to cheat shading, did you?
