DESKTOP SIZED, becuase depthcharge made it look fun. That and I havent made a desktop of my own art for a long, long time (and the first ones were... eck).
I actually wrote a short story about this but, it wasnt about Naviva at all (instead an 8 year old girl or-so). It included a cat that would ask people if it could borrow newspaper clippings so it could repair its newspaper which was only issued once a year- and his was second hand. He'd ride on a train by himself. It was called The Viridian Giant. Maybe one day i'll post it when I can fix up my horrible, horrible literature skills.
Anyway, the forst has been burnt down. Naviva doesnt want the fire to come back. Her imaginary friend Bosco, who is a giant, is sitting on the hillside looking down at the fire on the other side. Or the sunset, whichever you like.
characters&concepts are mine, dont completly cuhopy them.

A wonderful piece not only for artistic values but for the backstory as well. The minimalist type style of colour for the background contrasts well to the full shading of the girl. It creates such a strong atmosphere around it.
