Anyone remember this? http://www.sheezyart.com/view/866209/
Well, I recently learned how to use an FM tracker. Sounded like FM before, but it IS FM now!
I'm really bad at making instruments with this. I was aiming for some kind of pseudo-harmonica sound, but it came out more like a strange pseudo-guitar. This is a lot tougher to get the same kind of results you want with than the NES.

Hey look, something unrelated to Perihelion! Well, for this, I was trying to make a sort of timeless melody for a platformer, like the Mario or Sonic themes which I'm sure you can recall with little to no effort (maybe a little more with the old Sonic theme...). I don't know why, but I decided a Genesis-esque sound would suit this...it isn't actually anywhere near real FM. As far as feedback goes, all I've heard so far from multiple sources is that it sounds very familiar, so PLEEEAAAASE tell me if I'm accidently ripping off something. If not, then...good? Yeah, feedback appreciated.

Very nice! A little repetitive, but it more than makes up for it.

This song has quite a Sonic-y feel to it, good sir! I really like that bassline, too. In other words, great work, and blah blah blah. Faved! :)
