I think we've been trying to do a collab for a while. Then recently Deathly was like "HAY. Wanna do that collab?" and I was like "YA!" and then we decided on a guns and steampunk theme.
We drew each other, then colored the other's lineart. (i.e. I drew deathly and colored myself, and deathly drew me and colored herself.) ...hence why the best parts are the coloring on the left and the lineart on the right. It was an interesting experience working with someone else's lineart, but augh I'm so bored with my coloring style. I need to experiment more with stuff.
For the background, Deathly drew the awesome buildings and mountains, and I added the effects like the steam, smoke, and clouds.
This won't be the last time you see steam-punk stuff from me. Technology + western =
