Rampage

Alrighty, this is the last of the sketches for today...I think. ;

This is Rampage, belonging to Depth Charge. I was playing around with a different wing style because I don't think my current way of drawing wings would suit him and I've really wanted to find another way to do them. The current style stemmed partially from my wanting to make my wings all wispy and soft looking and partially from my fear of drawing feathers. I *like* that style but I've also been wanting to try something a bit more realistic. I spent some time looking at wings and here we go. This is what I came up with for now. I'm pleased with them.

On the pose, I know it looks weird. Let me say that after testing, this pose is entirely possible (even with the feet entirely concealed (though really his right foot is barely visible behind his hand). It looks wrong to me but at the same time, I couldn't place his feet in a visible position and make it look right either. So the pose may need some reworking if I ever want to do anything else with this.

His costume was fun to draw. I like all the details and what not in his jewelry. For such an angsty guy, he really knows how to accessorize.
