Fascinating all these stories, about dying once or twice,
I asked the local doctors for an explanation or advice,
This, they told me in earnesty, was something excitingly new,
for someone to die and be born again seemed too good to be true
Let's visit these em....I mean people, the good doctor said,
and as he spoke those words, he grabbed his coat and hat.
Arriving at the place it happened, he was dismayed to say the least.
for basking in attention...lay the 'victim', apparently very pleased.
No trace of blood, no sign of a fight, not a struggle was to be seen,
for someone just cheating death, she seemed actually rather keen.
Keen on checking mails, and replies to her sad fate,
and whilst she laughed loudly, her mother said, ‘it's late’.
‘Go to bed sweety...enjoy your dreams...you need your rest and peace,
or else you might be too tired, to go to aunt Mingley's feast.’
Still ashgrey in the face, looking thunderstruck,
the doctor pondered about his string of bad luck.
Shrugging finally, recognizing defeat, he left the building feeling sad,
for he could not understand why someone would lie about death.
