This took me ages.. (And the hardest was to get a decent photo of it afterwards >_< ) Maybe I shouldn't draw on A2-sized paper.. can never get good pictures of it =/

Gary's walking through the poor part of a city, then sees some kind of cathedral/palace like building in front of him (I tried making it reflect a little in his armor, but 'm not really pleased with the outcome)
Anyway, his look is supposed to a mix of amazement as well as a little disgust.
The man on the left of him is showing him the city. (he's a character I made up a while ago, but I still couldn't think of a good name for him.)

Anyway, comments, critism etc are very appreciated :)
(ignore the gate please.. it's oblique(??) and I didn't even notice until i saw it on the pc screen.. it's so easy to lose the overview on big paper T_T)

So amazing and on A2.... O_____________O This is DEFINITLY frontpageworthy! I wish I could use coloured pencil so well!

Tranquil Waters Says:

Wow that went very well

The foreground is very well done, the expression on gary's face is exactly what you wanted it to be... but why would he be disgusted btw?

The BG seems a bit weird with the perspective, but I guess it's because the drawing is huge It's easy to lose the overview indeed

I agree with Natzy24 is Front Page worthy

Tranquil Waters Says:

one little point more: if you make shadows under the things on the market, then they won't float in the air anymore (kraampje en kar met ezel)

Minstrel Ayreon Says:

WOW...this is amazing--the colors are gorgeous!! Even though the architecture would've been a lot different, the general atmosphere reminds me of when I read the stories in the Bible about the impoverished parts of Jerusalem.

I'm curious about the world Gary lives in. Is it a medieval world or a modern one? I'm thinking that Catnotes has a different world from this one you're drawing now? Or is it both?

ninjailookupto Says:

Aww, wow, all that detail! I love the colors and the lighting...especially on Gary's armor. His face looks so...intense, too. It's an awesome expression. =3

AWSOME job. I love how the colour came out on the man and Gary. Very vibrant, you're really coming a long you know that? anyway, VERY good work and keep it up. Good work takes time most of the time so I hope your patience holds up better in the long run hen mine did.
