Pursue
I can see your whole face,
I see into your eyes.
But as much as I can’t think,
I still can say goodbye.
Our memories are intact,
And my heart feels cracked.
There just wasn’t any time to react…
I felt you standing beside me.
Your hand was in my grasp.
But all your screams were too much,
And my voice was just a rasp.
I took too long to tell you,
That you weren’t anything to pursue.
Sometimes I wonder why,
It makes me want to cry.
You were never there for me,
But I was there for you,
Don’t you see?
I’ve lived my life alone,
Without caring to groan.
But then my heart went soaring,
When you made me feel so mooring,
But everything soon disappeared.
When that flying heart was speared…
I felt you standing beside me.
Your hand was in my grasp.
But all your screams were too much,
And my voice was just a rasp.
I took too long to tell you,
That you weren’t anything to pursue.
You weren’t anything to pursue…
I’ve gotten you out of my life,
Right after our final strife.
But as you faded away,
I just wanted to say…
I felt you standing beside me.
Your hand was in my grasp.
But all your screams were too much,
And my voice was just a rasp.
I took too long to tell you,
That you weren’t anything to pursue.
You weren’t anything…
And you aren’t now.
