I finished it off from the base scenery I posted already.
This is from the V:ir:ision set of stuff I have/haven't done. Its based around a small clan of people in a distant time past when the world was much less messed up than it is now.
Here we see the people's pride of their engineering ingenuity: Their shrine to the two mountains. These two solid rock faces rise from the river that runs into their lands. The eternal flames burn from their places high on the montain's razor pinnacles. Steep ladderways and precarious rope bridges grant access to the holy places. The weakest point in their defences, the river, is heavily protected by strong military units capable of even the strongest of offensives. They therefore thank the two faces for their protective qualities, and worship them.
I know that the mountain side colours messed up, couldnt be helped, I realised the mistake post-render, when many of the other parts had already been added around the mistake. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE CRITIQUE ON THIS PIECE, IT IS AN ASPECT I NEED TO PERFECT.
Nothing special, which is why I only posted it at low res.

Wow! It's breathtaking!
What did you use to render it!?!
Stitches Says:
That's beautiful, did you use Terragen for the some of it (the water doesn't look like Terragen water, but the land and sky look like the type of stuff I've seen done on Terragen before)?
Drin Says:
the contrast is bad. looks washed out. and I think it needs some mountains peeking out in the background, just a little. I like the little bridges for scale, but they sort of come to dead stops everywhere. also if this is on earth those gigantic peaks are highly unrealistic. I could only see this in a LOTR type setting.

Whoa. This is amazing! It looks so real...
GoroUnreal Says:
Absolutly amazing! Even the water shows where it touches the land. The land itself looks so lifelike (I can tell the program was probably using pixel shaders on that land). And even the bridges arn't straight which adds for even more realism. Great job!
Halostar Paladin Says:
At times, the water seems to end in too sharp of a line, but otherwise quite wonderful. The way the shadows are arranged actually makes the mountains seem more imposing. And I love the backstory as well.

This is quite enchanting.
