Something for a little practice-type project of mine.
One thing I adore about the anime/manga Loveless is the wordplay. The names of teams and even individual characters are meant to represent core traits of the characters themselves. Just as words are used to weave spells, names cast a spell of their own and tell you different things about the character.
That being said I thought to myself, "I wonder if I can do that. Choose a word and create a character to personify it." Which is how I came up with this little gal here. I am aware that Soubi's friend is named Kio, but I chose the name anyhow for its meaning.
Kiyo means Pure. Her team name would be Selfless, and she would be a sacrifice.
The wing and halo were added after the fact and just for fun. They really have nothing to do with her character design. Oh, and it's a three quarter portrait, if anyone was wondering. She's kind of looking over her shoulder, which confused a friend of mine until I told her.
I doubt I'll ever use Kiyo for anything, but it was good practice. I'm proud of the shine marks in her hair. I can seldom get shine marks to look like that, so it made me happy.
