Ok tired of attempting to do quality work with crappy coloured pencils so I gave in to the world of black and white. A.... 17th-18th century courtesan--minus flesh.
Also reading Gloria Oliver's book at the moment...
Jay this is got to be one of my favorites. I really do love this one quite a bit. Hrm...I should have asked while you were on a bit ago..do you mind if I take a swing at coloring it? I know it's meant to be B&W (right?) but I'd love to play with some colors on it :)
I simply adore all the detail and beautiful work you put into this one...and yet it still has that creepy touch. I love the comment above that said it gave a sort of "double take" effect. It really does!

Very nice. I got caught up in the kimono and didn't even notice the fact there wasn't any flesh. Way to make me do a double take!

Wow...that is truly unnerving somehow. Very precisely inked--great work!
