Well, I decided to take a quick detour from composing for Aeterna and do a remix of a song from a video game. So, I remembered Earthbound. Not only did its game play and quirky story catch my attention, but its music was (in my opinion) fantastic. The one song from the game that stuck out for me was the melody which was brought together piece by piece during the course of the game. This melody hit me hard, and I've always wanted to do an arrangement of it...so I did this evening. I feel really strongly about this piece and am extremely proud how it turned out.
Note: it starts slow by giving the main melody on the glockenspiel alone, but don't be fooled. Soon the harp comes in, then the strings...
So please, enjoy, listen, and let the melody of Your Sanctuaries fill your heart.

It did come out pretty well! I loved how it starts to build up.

I only just started playing Earthbound the other week, after my sister had been trying to get me to play it for years. I've just got to the stage after Summers, and it's... well, impossibly bizarre, mostly. The character's faces are perhaps the bit that most gets to me, with most of the women wearing childishly-drawn demented grins frozen on their faces permanently.
Unfortunately, I've been playing it on the train to work and back, so I don't get to experience the sound or music. However, I can safely say that this is a fantastic tune in its own right - peaceful and very warm-sounding. It wouldn't do badly as a "bonus track" for Aeterna itself =)

Again, your work amazes me.

My comments are useless. It is so beautiful, it?s hard to express in words.
Ya know that little feeling in your stomach that you get when something is truly moving? I have that feeling only full force.
Again, this makes me want to cry.

Oh how I love Mother 2
I want my Mother 3 in the US though! >_<
Beautifully done with Garritan's though, I felt myself bobbing my head throughout the piece, just because I'm quirky like that, just like the game! xD
