Hey everybody!! I'm back!! (actually, i was never really gone to begin with...)
Okay, first off--School's out! I was out on thurs, but went to school on friday anyway (it was optional for my grade) to get my yearbook signed. It was kinda boring... but anyway, since school's out, you'll be happy to know I'll have plenty of time to finish my to-do list and update a little! (oh joy, there goes my whole summer... organizing my devlist... seriously, 12k messages!? stoppit already!! ;_; nevermind, that was my own fault...)
Anyway, my very last day of work is on monday, and I hadn't gotten around to making the gift for the TEACHER (I made the ones for the students, if you remember http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/55262731/ ), so i spent all day working on this. at first, i had absolutely no idea what to do! honestly, i was doodling around. I was trying to figure out if was was gonna draw a chibi, or draw myself, or draw myself as a chibi (

), then for some reason i felt like drawing sparkley rainbow magic, so this came up outta nowhere.
it was originally just a pretty mage girl casting pretty magic, but as i line-art'ed it, it somehow became an elf and then a fairy (i think it was the clothes that influenced me to do that). i have no idea where all the Teal came from, or the catlike eyes (it happened while i was drawing?), and the clothes were originally brownish or leather colored (i think i'm gonna blame disney's pocahontas for this one... yeah, i have no idea. i dunno why i was thinking about pocahontas. what w/e, she influenced a bit, i guess) but amanda said green looked better, that it made it more colorful. the sparkley magic's okay, i don't really like how it turned out though. i dunno why the girl is gathering rainbow and light in one hand and blowing shiny things with the other. i don't like how the back hand looks or the mouth, either. And i went for perspective, so... that didn't look so bad; kinda funny, but not bad. i hate the pose and how the magic light blocks out some of the color in her waist... and hair is absolutely horrid. somehow, i think i was thinking of Meroko when i was coloring her hair (it does sorta look like it, long with bangs and all). i tried my best with the speed lines, too (originally, i was going for the manga-ish ones, but i couldn't pull it off :( must practice!)
this is the "censored" version because the one i'm giving to the teacher has my name and hers on it... i'm an internet safe person, y'know. so anyway, yeah. enjoy. ignore the boring background, that's just there cuz it looked funny with no background. and the title is all caps... cuz it was an accident. i was gonna type it regular, but accidentally had caps on, and so... i kept it that way cuz it looked cool =3.
oh, and i confess-- i havent been working on clearing the devlist... i'm a lazy bum

. dun worry, i will, then i could work on the next installment of my KH fanfic over summer and post it next year (XP). oh, by the way, IHTP will be updated soon! :)
Till next time! -Jay
