I was really trying to make this seem like an angelic wallpaper and while it's not entirely how I had pictured it would be in my head, it still turned out well. The one thing I wanted to be sure to do was make her hair sort of blend into/become the background as well as her back wing. The colors and the swirls seemed to work better than a celestial bg that I had planned and I honestly don't know why but I decided to pixlate and blend the wall onto itself. Its not noticeable unless you look for it but I think it made it looked nice and darken it up a bit (original was way too bright for my liking).

I kinda get what you're saying about blending the hair and back wing into the BG, but it just doesn't seem like it would work with this BG, especially not with the pixellated BG. But the swirls, making it look like they all come from a central point, makes up for it.
