betta testing

I went out to get groceries and came home with a fish.

And the tank, and gravel, etc, etc. Took a couple hours just to let the ph levels settled and the water get all room temperature, bought some flash dried bloodworms,(turns out to be the McDonalds of fishy food, go me) all that good stuff. Mostly black and violet tank, blocked off filter, nice resort for a single fella.

He was almost grey in his little blue-tinted cup of anti-fungal water. After just a while he has brightened considerably; his body is black, shading to aqua, and he's rather attractive. A little thin, though. He ate right away, which isn't normal for a fish in a new tank, and he ate like a little pig at that.

Wonder what to name him..
