Forgotten Faces from Our Past

I felt like doing a memorial for all people who have been victims of gay bashing. I’ll probably do a better one some other time, but this is the one I’ve down. All the people on here have been murdered because they were GLBTQ or presumed to be so. Thee are a lot more hate crimes then I’ve listed here, but I couldn’t find pics of everyone.
In order, from left to right, these people are (I’ve included their articles on Wikipedia):

Scott Bernard Amedure- Murdered by his male friend when Scott revealed he had a crush on him. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scott_Amedure

Gwen Amber Rose Araujo- A transsexual female teenager who was murdered by transphobics for being biologically male. Her mother changed her name to legally a girl’s name. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gwen_Araujo

Ryan Keith Skipper- Murdered for being gay. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryan_Skipper

Jody Dobrowski- A 24-year old bartender, presumed gay. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jody_Dobrowski

Barry Winchell- A straight military man who had a heterosexual relationship with transsexual woman, Ms. Calpernia Addams (www.calpernia.com), severely bullied by his fellow soldiers, afraid to ask for help because of the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’ policy, and ultimately murdered because of his relationship with Calpernia. Fred Martinez- A Two-Spirited teenager from Colorado, beaten to death by Shaun Murphy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Martinez

Mathew Shepard- Murdered by two men for being gay, and his murder revolutionized the gay community, and inspired his parents to take a stand against violence to gay youth. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Shepard

Mahmoud Asgari and Ayaz Marhoni- Two young men who where hung in Iran for accusations that they were gay. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahmoud_Asgari_and_Ayaz_Marhoni

Brandon Teena- A transsexual man, raped and murdered by his former friends. His murder inspired the movie, “Boy’s Don’t Cry”, and brought attention to the transsexual community. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brandon_Teena
