This was one of my more recent projects which I've since lost inspiration to continue doing. Not necessarily abandoned, Im not not so motivated on it as I was before.
Darker was intended to be an antagonist spawn, a generic underling to do the dirty work of a higher being. Demons, if you will. They are expendable, but not weak. They were to be taken seriously, and often come across, and were capable of some pretty serious damage.
As you can see, they're Megaman Zero sprite edits. The appearing and disappearing sprites were what got me to think of them as an expendable underling, and they would appear as shown, do what damage they could, and retreat as soon as possible, or if they were in significant danger, usually after a fight, and if they stuck around they would probably die. As such, they retreat to safety to heal rather than die in combat.
