xD -- the army is marching out of their safe haven to what they believe to be an easy victory, morale is high and the officers are over confident. the setting sun in the background represents the inevitable fall of this particular castle -- their strategic location in the middle of the lake and their recent string of victories deluded the leaders into believing they are invincible...
or, that could be the rising sun in the background representing the dawn of a new empire as the armies of the liberator marches out to smite evil. the water represents the purity of the empire and the benevolent reign of their king...
of course, its all open to speculation
