Well, when I first drew this, the weather was acting up, and it was getting surprisingly hot for winter. Now, past March 21, is now spring, and pretty soon summer will be here just before you know it.

This picture took tons of time, layers, and computer memory.

The most tedious part in coloring this picture was, of course, detailing the leaves on the trees as well as patterning the grass. :devronriidx: advised me to use a charcoal brush on Photoshop and demonstrated just for me to see. It really helped; thanks so much! As for the grass, I made a pixelated base and used a grass brush to color everything green. It's really complicated and that's why it doesn't really look realistic. :/ The rays of sun were my favorite part in coloring this, as well as darkening/shading the picture to make it look like Nana is really under a tree. I would sell this as a poster, but the coloring is so bad when you zoom in that it's really ugly.

Now for the news: I'm putting NANAPeT on hiatus since I'm going to redraw the comic. I know I haven't been taking good care of NANAPeT, but I'll consider working more on it once I get B5 paper or something. Using copy paper just doesn't seem right in proportions. But don't fret! It may come back when you least expect it!

This picture also radiates the message to tell you to go out and get some vitamin D. It's summer, and there's no need to stay inside!!

I'd love to get some Vitamin D! But over here the sun has been very stingy about sharing it with the crap weather I've been having lately. D:

Awesome pic, I really like all the cool touches here. The rays of sun and the complex shading of her being under a tree looked especially fun to do. I like the details on the sneakers and juice box too, a really well done piccie here.
