Stylistically this is beautiful, with the lines and paint splatters and loose background. The composition is gorgeous too; the position of the body is perfect. And the hair. And the colours. And everything. Awesome job.
This is most excellent! The loose, expressive style works really well. It's very cool that you hint at a lot of little details without them becoming overwhelming to look at. There IS such a thing as too much detail. You've found a good balance between not enough and too much in this piece. Good job!
Wow...very tragic. I like how you convey the carnage of war without going TOO overboard with it. I think that lends a lot of power to this piece as well as getting the message out to a wider audience instead of just people who aren't turned off by a lot of gore.
The traditional style is excellent! Did you have any idea as you painted him, where this warrior was from?
Nuuuu!! Don't die! D: Mongol, you meanie. >w< Btw, 'tis beautiful. Love the paleness of the background that gives it an surreal look and the darkness of his character. Touching, really.
you have left me speechless...
...
....alright...it's coming back...
i seriously love this piece. i love everything about it, your use of media and the composition, it all works out perfectly *3*
i have always wanted to do something like this with watercolors, something 'loose' like the people from before said. It really is very awesome!
