Fanart of King Leonidas from the movie/graphic novel 300.

This was kind of an experiment in markers for me. I worked much differently than I usually do, tried to rely more on shapes than lines. I didn't use any thicker pens than a 005. I was half-expecting to fail but I'm actually extremely happy with how this turned out.

PLEASE, if you see this, drop me a comment and tell me what you think. Or vote. Or something. I worked extremely hard on this and I want to know what people think of it.

Rawr with the color adjustments. It really does look fantastic, and you can see that the effort is there. This deserves much attention. Beautiful job.

SPARTAGH! Anyway, I haven't seen the movie yet, but my boyfriend did, and he wanted to say...your picture is "bad***"
I also think it is very well done, the marker work is really really smooth stuff here, and you did a good job capturing the look of the movie.

I've seen the movie, this image is great! fav!

Rikki Merie Says:

Hmmn , I like the way you've done with the focal point you go straight at him and the soft lines. It gives it a sort of old/ancient look to it. ^^

Ongaru Says:

Wow. Gorgeous! I love the style, and the whole Schindler's List, color-only-the-cloak scheme.

Yeah, the movie didn't disappoint. The costumes weren't accurate (duh!), but everything pretty much went down how it actually happened in the history books...
