When they flooded the Little Tennessee River to create Tellico Lake, the flooded the surrounding farms as well, forcing a lot of farmers and other people off of their land. It's not like Tellico Lake was created for hydroelectric power because the power is gotten off the turbines at the dam on the neighboring lake. It was simply done to sell prime lakefront real estate to people with a hell of a lot of money who wanted to move to a state where they wouldn't have to pay a state income tax.

It will never cease to piss me off.
