Serial Killing

Would you ever murder another human being? Not once, but three times... or more? What kind of person would find murder so wonderful, they would continue to kill until they were stopped... or died themselves? Serial killers are the nightmares that lurk in the shadows of our minds. They are the heroes of movies, and although we hate to admit it, a darker part of us remains morbidly fascinated with this darker side of humanity. Why else would movies like "Zodiac" and "Saw" be so popular? Perhaps the reason it is so fascinating is because the average human mind cannot comprehend what would drive a person over the brink of the sanity and into the dark and sadistic world of murder. What makes serial killers kill is not truly known yet, although several theories have been proposed, by investigators, psychologists, and even the killers themselves. Some of these theories explain why some of the killers kill, but no hypothesis explains the creation of a killer entirely. Therefore, it has been concluded that it's probably a combination of these numerous speculations that create a killer. The most logical theories of the causes of serial killing revolve around ideas of brain damage, genetics, and a disturbed childhood, or history of abuse.
